Englishmen yachtsman

How magnificent is this shot as a document of British working classes? Titled 'Two Englishmen yachtsman, unknown boy, David Young (I'm sure he appears elsewhere in another shot) and an unknown man'. This was taken by Hill & Adamson around the mid 1840s in Newhaven, as part of their quite hefty study on the folk of the Scottish fishing village and its people. Image courtesy of the National Gallery Scotland. Words: The Daguerreian Dandy.
