The image shows a young woman, identified as a flight attendant, at the Lagos Airport in 1962. The photograph captures a poignant historical moment of women's entry into the workforce in Nigeria during that era. The airport was originally constructed during World War II. West African Airways Corporation (WAAC) was established in 1947 and had its main base at Ikeja.
