Mocha, Mocha of Great Armenia in the Orynak province of the world. In the Ottoman period, it was part of the Moksi province of Van province in the Van vilayet. It now bears the name Bahçesaray (Bahçesaray). It is located about 60 kilometers southwest of the city of Van.
Mox. In ancient times it was called Mokk and was the center of the Mokk province of the Mokat world. In the IX-XI centuries, along with the province of the same name and the world, it was subordinated to the princes-kings of Artsrun. In the Middle Ages, Moks was a fortress town with a homogeneous Armenian population; in the new times, in addition to Armenians, Kurds lived here.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it had about 2,000 inhabitants, the vast majority of whom were Armenians. It had five districts: Abrahaments, Anchghots, Dasht, Matkunts and City district. All neighborhoods were inhabited by Armenians, except Matkunts. The inhabitants were engaged in tyranny.
