MAIN LIBRARY

In 1910, the main library in San Francisco was the San Francisco Public Library, which had been established in 1878. The library was located in the Civic Center area, and it played a crucial role in providing access to books, periodicals, and other resources for the city's residents.

The library's collection and services continued to grow, and it became an important cultural and educational institution in San Francisco. The main library building that existed in 1910 was eventually replaced by a new structure in 1996, which is the current San Francisco Main Library located at 100 Larkin Street.
