Havilland Mosquito
1947: RAF de Havilland Mosquito aircraft fly over the Suez Canal. The Mosquito, famous for its wooden construction and versatility during the war, was serving in a variety of post-war roles. Over the Suez, its speed and range made it well-suited to patrolling and surveying the strategic waterway.
