Annual church meeting of the church of Bamangwato, Serowe, Bechuanaland [later Botswana] c.1903 - c.1914.Group portrait of church congregation with missionary, Rev Albert Edward Jennings (1871 - 1945 ) and his family. Jennings suceeded William Charles Willoughby at Serowe in 1903 until 1914. Work amongst the Bamangwato tribe was amongst the LMS's most successful activities in Africa, due to the influence of the christian leader, Chief Khama. One of two images mounted on numbered cards of general images of Africa.
