Titanic deck for second-class passengers

1912

This rare image shows second-class passengers strolling the deck of the RMS Titanic, just weeks before tragedy struck in April 1912. The photo captures the calm, optimistic atmosphere aboard one of the most ambitious engineering feats of its time. With neatly arranged deck chairs and elegantly dressed passengers, the scene reflects the Titanic's promise of comfort across all classes.

🛳️ Historical Note
On April 10, 1912, the Titanic departed from Southampton, calling at Cherbourg and Queenstown, before setting out across the Atlantic. Though the ship was registered in Liverpool and many of its crew hailed from the city and nearby Dingle, it would never complete its journey. Just days later, it sank after hitting an iceberg, making this one of the most iconic maritime disasters in history.
