Tu-104 lands at Sheremetyevo Airfield marking its birthday
On August 11, 1959, the Soviet Tu-104, which took off from Leningrad, landed at Sheremetyevo Airfield in Moscow, where airport services for the first time provided a range of commercial and technical services. This date is considered to be the birthday of Sheremetyevo Airport.
