The photo shows a poor, widowed Armenian woman and her two children.
1899.

After the murder of her husband as a result of the Armenian massacres of 1894-1896, the family reached Kharberd on foot from their home in Geghi region (Geghi region to Kharper).

The photo was published in “Hands of Help” magazine (Armenian Relief Committee) in December 1900.
