Horomos, a monastery in Shirak province, Ayrarat province of Mets Hayk, northeast of Ani, on the right bank of the Akhuryan River (now within Turkey).
It was founded in the 2nd quarter of the 10th century, during the reign of the Armenian king Abbas Bagratuni (929—953).

Horomos Monastery was one of the cultural centers of medieval Armenia. Mkhitar Anetsi, a pen and miniaturist of the late 13th and mid-14th centuries, was educated there and practiced the art of writing.
In Matenadaran is kept the country manuscript of Samuel Anetsu “Gathering in a Book of Historiography” (c. 3613), imitated and illustrated by him in the monastery of Horomos.
