Zoravar Andran (also known as **Andranik Torosyan** or **General Andranik**; 1865–1927) was an Armenian military commander and national hero who played a significant role in the Armenian struggle for independence and during the Armenian Genocide. He was known for his leadership in defending Armenian communities against both Ottoman and Turkish forces.
Born in the region of Western Armenia (modern-day Turkey), Andranik was deeply involved in political and military efforts aimed at securing Armenian autonomy. However, after the defeat of the Armenian forces and the establishment of the Soviet Union, Andranik went into exile.
