Anna Pavlovna Pavlova was a Russian ballet dancer, prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre from 1906 to 1913, one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century.
Anna Pavlovna Pavlova was a renowned Russian ballerina, born on February 12, 1881, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She is celebrated as one of the most famous and influential ballerinas of all time. Pavlova's passion for ballet began at a young age, and she was accepted into the Imperial Ballet School in Saint Petersburg at the age of 10.

Pavlova's most iconic role was "The Dying Swan," choreographed for her by Michel Fokine. Her performance in this piece became legendary and is still remembered today for its grace and emotional depth. She was known for her delicate and ethereal style, which set her apart from other dancers of her time.

In 1906, Pavlova was promoted to prima ballerina of the Imperial Ballet. She later joined Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, where she gained international fame. In 1910, she formed her own company and toured extensively around the world, bringing ballet to audiences in places like South America, India, and Australia.

Anna Pavlova passed away on January 23, 1931, in The Hague, Netherlands, but her legacy continues to inspire dancers and ballet enthusiasts worldwide.
