Miss Florence Hope Luscomb
Miss Florence Hope Luscomb, a Massachusetts-born social and political activist and one of the earlier women to graduate with a degree in architecture (she graduated in 1909).
Florence was born in 1887 and lived just shy of a century, born to Otis and Hannah Luscomb. She died aged 98 in 1985. This portrait of Florence as a wee young one of around age 5 was taken approx early 1890s. Smiling into the future, towards what was to become an extraordinary life.
