Employees of the city, doctors, teachers, officials, writers, industrialists of the city who participated in its creation were invited to the cafe.

Isahak Melik-Aghamalyan (1858-1914) was born in Yerevan and an aristocrat. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Petersburg, he worked at the Tiflis Court as a lawyer. In 1898 he was elected mayor of Yerevan, which he held until 1904. During his reign, the city was rebuilt. Water supply, sidewalks, street lighting were created, a new hospital and the first library were opened. From 1904 to 1910, from 1912 to 1914 the leader was his younger brother Hovhannes Melik-Aghamalyan.
