Zoravar Andran (also known as **Andranik Torosyan** or **General Andranik**; 1865–1927) was an Armenian military commander and national hero who played a significant role in the Armenian struggle for independence and during the Armenian Genocide. He was known for his leadership in defending Armenian communities against both Ottoman and Turkish forces.
Born in the region of Western Armenia (modern-day Turkey), Andranik was deeply involved in political and military efforts aimed at securing Armenian autonomy. He was an active participant in the **Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF)** and was a key figure in organizing and leading armed resistance against Ottoman rule.

Andranik continued to be a prominent figure in the fight for Armenian independence, even after the collapse of the Russian Empire and the formation of the Republic of Turkey. However, after the defeat of the Armenian forces and the establishment of the Soviet Union, Andranik went into exile.
