In 1960, photojournalist Ormond Gigli gathered 43 women, dressed them in elegant, colorful outfits, and placed them in 41 windows on the facade of a classic New York house designed for demolition. Intending to capture the beauty of the building before it disappears for good, the photographer created the perfect image. Years later, this photo became the most famous photo in Giglis career.
