Last blessing of Misak Torlakyan by All Armenian Catholicos Vazgen I. California, Los Angeles 1968
During his visit to the United States, Vazgen I visited Armenian avenger and member of the ARF party Misak Torlakyan, who had a concert in a hospital bed. It should be recalled that on this day, July 18, 1921, in the framework of Operation Nemesis, Misak Torlakyan shot dead former Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Behbud Khan Jivanshire in K.Pols. The latter was responsible in September 1918. for the murder of Armenians in Baku and thousands of Armenian migrants who took refuge there in September.
