ESPAÑOL Esta es la primera fotografía conocida de Bogotá y de toda Colombia, capturada en 1842 por el diplomático y aficionado a la fotografía Jean-Baptiste Louis Gros. La imagen muestra una calle empedrada que serpentea entre casas coloniales, al pie de los cerros orientales, y nos transporta a una ciudad que aún era villa virreinal.
En un país que apenas empezaba a definirse como república, esta fotografía representa el inicio visual de nuestra memoria colectiva. En cada piedra, sombra y tejado hay historia. Esta imagen es mucho más que un documento: es una ventana al pasado.
