Armenians of Upper Ephrata and Dersim

Dersim - Kiggy District 1914 According to the census data of the Patriarchate, there were 19859 Armenians in 51 settlements of the district. In 1915 they were subjected to genocide. After the forced deportations, most of the survivors of the genocide, about 10 percent of the population settled in the United States.
