Zoltán Kodaly
Toscanini and Kodály's music: In 1928, Kodály's Háry János Suite was being performed around the world, including by major conductors such as Toscanini. Toscanini would later conduct a recording of the suite with the NBC Symphony Orchestra. This could explain their meeting, as it would have been a natural opportunity for a composer and a world-renowned conductor to connect.
