The Jerusalem Clock Tower

Lost beauty.

The Jerusalem Clock Tower was built in 1907 at Jaffa Gate.
It was demolished by the British in 1922 as part of measures to expand the entrance to the Old Town.
Local residents were very outraged by its demolition. The British promised to restore the clock tower, but they did not keep their promise. The tower looked like this:
