Release of the first famous Soviet Plombir

1937

On November 4, 1937, the first famous Soviet Plombir was released in Moscow using American equipment and an American recipe brought in 1936 by Anastas Mikoyan from the United States.

In America, Mikoyan was personally assigned to him by Stalin: to study how the industry entrusted to him works in the United States, to find all the most interesting and advanced achievements in the food industry and introduce them into everyday Soviet life.

After Mikoyans trip, we got condensed milk in tin cans, city bread, canned peas and, most importantly, something that those born in the USSR will never be able to forget: magic ice cream in a waffle cup.
