Einstein's birthday boy
Einsteins birthday boy
On March 14, 1951, Albert Einstein celebrated his 72nd birthday at a research center in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. After the party, Einstein took advantage of an offer from the institutes former director, Dr. Frank Idelott, and his wife, Mary Jennette, to take him home. But the scientist could not escape from the reporters on duty at the door of the Institute for Advanced Study even in the back seat of the Idelott couples car. Arthur Sass, a photojournalist for the American news agency United Press International, asked the tired Einstein to smile at the camera, but Einstein, who had done it many times that day, suddenly stuck his tongue out instead.
Old Photos has already published several notes about the famous physicist: Einstein on the beach, Einstein and his students, Einstein and Oppenheimer, President Einstein.
