Esta es la primera fotografía conocida de Bogotá y de toda Colombia, capturada en 1842 por el diplomático y aficionado a la fotografía Jean-Baptiste Louis Gros. La imagen muestra una calle empedrada que serpentea entre casas coloniales, al pie de los cerros orientales, y nos transporta a una ciudad que aún era villa virreinal.
