Ethiopian Airlines
Emperor Haile Selassie established Ethiopian Airlines as part of his modernization effort. The Emperor intended the creation of a quality and profitable national airline. He made the foundation of the Ethiopian Airlines strong by going above and beyond the call of duty. The first scheduled flight took place to Cairo in 1946.
