He worked in the years 1910 - 1915 (in 1914 - 1915 he was called “Armenian Gusan”) in Constantinople.
The concerts are held in the Pti-Chan Theater, Union Frances and other halls in Unegel Bera. The staff was initially 300, from 1912 to 200. “Gusan” had a high professional level, performed with multi-voice contrast compositions, numerous sound divisions and singers also as a double band. He has performed a wide series of Komitas group songs, parades, as well as spiritual works, the “Liturgy”, elaborations of patriotic songs and some works by Western European authors (in particular excerpts from Verdi and Wagners operas). The concerts were often accompanied by oral or printed explanations by Komitas. The performances of “Gusan” were an important event of the general Armenian musical life of Constantinople (the performance of October 25, 1913 became one of the important rings of the celebration of the 1500th anniversary of the invention of Armenian writing and the 400th anniversary of printing). Five Komitas students: Barsegh Kanachyan, Mihran Tumachyan, Vardan Sargsyan, Vagharshak Svrvandztyan, Hayk Semerchyan, Hayk Semerchyan, obtained professional training at Gusan.
