AFTER THE FLOOD
The 1935 flood in Junction, Texas was part of a larger flooding event that affected Central and South Central Texas. This event was caused by heavy rains in the spring of that year1. These rains not only impacted Junction, but also other cities like Austin, San Antonio, Uvalde, and D’Hanis. The flood was so severe that it was speculated any May flowers that might have bloomed would have been swept away into the Gulf of Mexico1. This event was one of the major floods that occurred in Texas in 1935
