Palace of Soviets metro station, 1935.

The station was opened as part of the first launch section of the Moscow Metro.
The stations design name was Kropotkin Gate, but from its opening until 1957, it was called the Palace of Soviets.
In 1957, the station was named Kropotkinskaya after the former Kropotkinsky Vorota Square and Kropotkinskaya Street.
