Mernyatap
A village in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia, at the northern foot of Mount Ara. Distance from the center of the region: 21 km north-east, height above sea level - 1850 m.
Previously it was included in the Etchmiadzin province of Yerevan under the name Karabulagh.
The village was founded in 1829-1830 by immigrants from Western Armenia.
Population 611 people (2011).
